Audrey den Boer, beeldend kunstenaar in textiel- en handwerk, illustrator.

Audrey volgde haar opleiding aan de M.T.S. voor mode en kleding te Den Haag. Later heeft zij diverse opleidingen en cursussen gevolgd o.a. voor vilten, schilderen en illustreren.

 Creatief bezig zijn is haar passie en vind het heerlijk om af te wisselen van materialen en technieken. Zij is daardoor niet gebonden aan 1 stijl of techniek, maar is het een uitdaging om regelmatig iets anders op te pakken. Zij werkt voornamelijk intuïtief en laat zij zich graag inspireren door de natuur en hergebruik. Zij werkt o.a. met natuurproducten zoals wol en vilt, (restjes) garens, (restjes) bolletjes wol, touw, wat er in de natuur te vinden is, en o.a. oude restjes stof en knopen wat gevonden is in kringloopwinkels.

Sinds 2022 is zij begonnen met digitaal tekenen, na een cursus illustreren. Er wordt hieraan nog gewerkt om een portfolio verder op te bouwen. Zij maakt digitale portretten, schilderijen en illustraties voor o.a. boekcovers, tijdschriften, kaarten. Daarnaast schildert zij graag traditioneel.

Audrey completed her education at the M.T.S. for fashion and clothing in The Hague. Later she took various courses like felting, painting and illustration.

Being creative is her passion and she enjoys varying materials and techniques. She is therefore not bound to one style or technique, but it is a challenge to regularly pick up something different. She works mainly intuitively and likes to be inspired by nature and reuse. She works with natural products such as wool and felt, (leftover) yarn, (leftover) balls of wool, rope, what can be found in nature, and things like: old leftover fabrics, textiles and buttons found in thrift stores.

She started drawing digitally in 2022, after an illustration course. She is still working on this to further build up a portfolio. She makes digital portraits, paintings and illustrations for book covers, magazines, cards. She also likes to paint traditionally.
